Agents & Dragons: Once Upon Agentic AI Workshop¶

A good Monday, 26 October, at the AWS User Group Meetup in Warsaw. The workshop was Agents & Dragons: Once Upon Agentic AI, and it was not another slide deck about agents.

Different format. A comic, dice, a dwarf fighter named Thorin. Tool calling looks like a spell here: @tool in Strands Agents becomes something you can cast, and RTFM on the page is a hint, not a meme. Then you sit with a character and watch the Game Master break a stealth check down to the dice.

Hard to invent a livelier way to show what an agent actually does with tools, MCP, and agent-to-agent. Familiar pieces land differently when you have to use them in a quest, not on a slide.
