AWS GameDay Warsaw 2026

Yesterday, I took part in an AWS GameDay competition for the first time. It was really cool and a little nerve-wracking.

GameDay is a hands-on competition where teams of four are placed in a real AWS environment full of malfunctioning systems and challenging tasks. You diagnose problems, fix them, build solutions, and race against the clock. Some problems are straightforward. Most problems are completely unclear and not obvious.

There were some technical glitches, but that just added to the adrenaline rush)

Good news

• The AWS User Group Warsaw took 2nd place in Europe, competing against 427 teams from 22 countries.
• Our team ZEBRAS took 2nd place in Poland and 34th in Europe.
• Met some interesting people.
• Had a great experience.
